Power Climber and Liftket Hoist training

CERTEX Lifting's Renewables technicians recently teamed up with Vestas Service technicians for an intensive week of on-site training. It was a busy and productive week, with all participants successfully completing their TSL Level 2 Power Climber training and introductory training on Liftket Hoists. This training will enable us to assist our clients with their Maintenance and Annual Inspection requirements, reinforcing our commitment to meeting our Renewables customers' service needs and enhancing our Lifting KnowHow.

Power Climber Training Highlights

The Power Climber training, completed over four days, focused on all aspects of Service Lifts. The extensive course covered:

  • Pre-start inspections

  • Troubleshooting and fault-finding

  • Self-rescue techniques

  • Replacement of suspension wire ropes

  • Guidewire tensioning

  • Factory settings

  • Setting of safety limits

  • Disassembly and reassembly of traction winches for part replacement

The Level 2 Training also enables us to conduct Level 1 – Basic Operations training for our clients' new staff who have not previously used Power Climber lifts.

Liftket Hoist Training Highlights

The Liftket Hoist training covered:

  • Visual inspection requirements

  • Fault diagnosis

  • Compliance with Australian/European and OEM specifications

  • Clutch adjustment

  • Brake settings

  • Part replacement

While our technicians regularly work with electric hoists, this Liftket-specific training will assist our Renewables technicians in better servicing one of the main electric hoists used in the Wind Industry.

We extend our thanks to Vestas for hosting us for the week and to Power Climber and Pacific Hoists for their contributions throughout the training.

By completing this training, CERTEX Lifting is better equipped to assist clients with their Maintenance and Annual Inspection requirements, further enhancing our expertise and commitment to delivering top-notch service in the Renewables sector.  Stay tuned as we continue to elevate our Lifting KnowHow and deliver exceptional service to our clients!
